Let’s be honest: corporate culture isn’t just about free coffee, tasty snacks, or even foosball tables and yoga sessions (where you still have to bring your own leggings—because there are limits to the free stuff!). Although none of that hurts, of course. It’s still very nice, and that’s why we enjoy offering these kinds of little extras. But that’s not the only thing that makes a difference.
True corporate culture is what remains after you’ve finished your latte and scored a goal at foosball without cheating with spin: it’s a way of working, collaborating, and achieving fulfillment in an ambitious corporate project.
A strong culture cannot be dictated in a PowerPoint presentation or on a wall covered in Neon Post-it notes intended for LinkedIn. It is something that is experienced on a daily basis and that grows with the people who make up the team.
These days, our culture also has to learn to dance with new partners, like artificial intelligence and all the challenges and opportunities it brings. The key is to keep people at the center while taking advantage of tools that can make our work easier.
