To be a Data Science Group Lead at Crakmedia is to be part of a data-driven team fired up to solve problems and create positive impact.

Your future team

Join a seasoned team combining business intelligence, Machine Learning, Python development, data analysis and data integration. Their combined expertise led to a Mercure award at Mercuriades 2024 in the Productivity Enhancement category, following our investments in artificial intelligence. 

Your daily life as a Lead Data Scientist at Crakmedia will involve:

  • Manage a team that develops and implements reinforcement learning models;
  • Use other advanced analytical methods to solve business problems;
  • Participate in the development and execution of a data science strategy;
  • Contribute to the evolution of our practices and automate certain tasks;
  • Collaborate with teams to promote the application of data science and solutions in our existing systems and environments;
  • Act as a mentor for the team's Data Scientists; 
  • Influence internal strategies by identifying the right opportunities;
  • Generate innovative ideas, realize them and be able to present them to various collaborators.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

  • Master's degree in Business Intelligence, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics or related field;
  • Good knowledge of advanced analytical methods and data architecture;
  • Demonstrate at least 5 years' relevant past experience in data science; 
  • Be comfortable working in a Cloud environment, such as Snowflake on AWS;
  • Programming skills (Python, SQL, R, etc.);
  • Be bilingual, as the immediate team is made up of both English and French speakers.
